Larch is a very attractive timber with its beautiful grain and colours. It is a dense timber which gives it good strength properties and because it contains a large amount of resin within the wood it is naturally resistant to decay and insect attack. Sleepers and Raised Beds
The natural durability of Larch makes this timber ideal for building sleeper walls and creating raised beds where the timber is in contact with the ground.
Standard sleepers are 2400 x 200 x 100mm
In addition to offering sleepers for making raised beds we can offer cheaper alternatives such as 200 x 50mm Battens which can do the job just as well. In fact with our inhouse sawmilling facilities we are able to cut whatever sizes you require.
Larch Cladding Boards
Larch is a tough and durable timber. That, combined with its beautiful grain and colours makes it an ideal choice for exterior cladding on buildings.

James Carr & Sons (Sawmillers) Ltd are able to supply Larch for Timber Decks, Raised Walkways and Fishing Platforms including all the framing timbers required
We can supply this timber treated or untreated. When building near watercourses however we would strongly recommend that untreated Larch is used as the chemicals in timber preservatives will leach out.
